USMI experience for juniors in Rocca di Papa (RM)

We juniors of the Italy Delegation together with Sr Sarah and Sr Lainess, who are in our country for an international juniorate time, had the opportunity from April 22-28, 2025, to participate in the residential formation week in Rocca di Papa (Rm) organized by USMI for temporary vowed sisters from all over Italy. About 30 institutes and 100 people including juniors and formators participated. The central theme was “Adult women who can generate the world.” It was the final stage of a journey that has accompanied us throughout this year.

We were able to listen to the insights and “provocations” of Sr. Antonietta Potente who helped us to deepen our knowledge of ourselves by listening to reality by living the vows.
We were also accompanied by Mother Fulvia Sieni who, through workshops and prayer, helped us to go into the depths of our relationship with the Lord by rediscovering our uniqueness and His Presence in our history.

On Saturday, April 26, we followed with recollection and emotion the funeral of the Holy Father Francis and in the afternoon we remained in prayer thanks to the Lectio divina led by Sr. Alessandra Casneda, deepening the passages of the Resurrection in Jn. 20.
All the days were marked by moments of prayer, play, fraternity and sharing that made these days occasions for exchange with other juniors from other religious institutes.
On the 28th we had the grace of being able to experience the Jubilee pilgrimage together by going through the Holy Door at St. Mary Major, participating in Holy Mass and visiting the tomb of Pope Francis.

We thank the Lord, Superiors and formators for the opportunity to live these experiences that help to grow and be rooted in Love.
